Thai Basil Beef Rolls are fresh, flavorful, and perfect for light meals or meal prep. Packed with herbs, spices, and savory beef.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 shallots, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 tablespoon chopped lemongrass
1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
Juice of 1 lime
1 cup Thai basil leaves, torn
2 scallions, julienned
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Gem lettuce leaves (or similar)
1 avocado, sliced
Rice paper sheets, as needed
Instructions

Cook the Beef
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Add garlic, shallots, and ginger paste. Sauté until fragrant. -
Season & Simmer

Stir in chopped lemongrass and Chinese five-spice powder. Pour in soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, and lime juice. Let simmer for 5 minutes.

Add Fresh Herbs
Remove from heat. Fold in Thai basil leaves, scallions, and cilantro. -
Assemble the Rolls
Dip rice paper in warm water to soften. Place a lettuce leaf on each. Add beef mixture and avocado slices. Roll tightly. -
Serve or Store
Enjoy fresh or refrigerate. Serve with dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
Use a damp towel to cover rolls and keep them soft if prepping ahead.
