- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon orange flavor extract
- 3 drops orange food coloring
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- In a medium, heat-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips, orange extract, and orange food coloring. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Increase to medium heat and add the heavy whipping cream. Stir gently and heat just until simmering (don’t let it boil).
- Pour the hot butter-cream mixture over the chocolate chips. Let sit for 1 minute, then whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until the ganache is firm.
- Once chilled, scoop out 12 portions and roll into smooth balls.
- Roll each truffle in powdered sugar until fully coated.
- Refrigerate again for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy chilled for the best creamy texture!
