Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange flavor extract
  • 3 drops orange food coloring
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  • In a medium, heat-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips, orange extract, and orange food coloring. Set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Increase to medium heat and add the heavy whipping cream. Stir gently and heat just until simmering (don’t let it boil).
  • Pour the hot butter-cream mixture over the chocolate chips. Let sit for 1 minute, then whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until the ganache is firm.
  • Once chilled, scoop out 12 portions and roll into smooth balls.
  • Roll each truffle in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  • Refrigerate again for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy chilled for the best creamy texture!
