4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1/3 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

1 cup powdered sugar

23 tablespoons whole milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.

  3. Cut each sheet into 4 equal squares.

  4. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

  5. Brush pastry squares with melted butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  6. Twist each square into a spiral shape.

  7. Place twists on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.

  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.

  9. While baking, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth to make icing.
